Internships and Employment
We are a small family farm producing both vegetable produce for two weekly markets and CSA programs as well as livestock for retail sale of meats and eggs.
Most of our extra labor required is in growing produce. We are not currently accepting applications for work with livestock.
You must be able to reliably provide your own transportation to our farm which is approximately 10 miles outside of Pullman.
Internships:
You do not have to require an internship for your degree or be a part of WSU's Organic Agriculture program to apply!
For Insurance Purposes, you are REQUIRED to be a Currently Enrolled student during the semester you will be an Intern with us. You may be at WSU or UI.
We are willing to work around work and school schedules. For us, school always comes first. During the summer market season (early May through October) work hours will include at least one full day including one market (Wednesday or Saturday) plus one full work day for Harvest (Monday/Tuesday or Friday) and one other general work day.
Compensation: $100 weekly stipend, weekly CSA Share
No experience required: just a willingness to learn!
Employment:
You must be physically capable of working with hands and back daily. Must be willing to and equipped to work outdoors in all reasonable weather and capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
Assist with field prep, transplanting, intermediate vegetable care as well as harvest and processing for sale. Full or part time considered, depending on schedule availability.
The good candidate must pay attention to detail, be ready and willing to learn our systems and be able to work independently and reliably on all different types of produce.
