Internships

We will be at WSU's Small Farm Networking Night on March 29th, 2017 at 6:30 in Ensminger Hall.

Drop by and get to know us and ask your questions!

At the bottom of this page is a copy of last year's Internship info flier.  We have not yet updated it but it'll be available at the Networking Night.

How to Apply:  We request an updated resume and a cover letter.  Internships often begin no later than the week following the end of WSU's Spring Semester however, we are open to other timetables depending on what you are looking to learn.  You may check out our flier at the link above.

We are willing to work around work and school schedules.  For us, school always comes first.  During the summer market season (early May through October) work hours will include at least one full day including one market (Wednesday or Saturday) plus one full work day for Harvest (Monday/Tuesday or Friday) and one other general work day.  We understand that you may only have the summer available for an internship, please apply!  As much as we'd like you to see the farm from the start to the end of a year, the bulk of learning goes on during the summer.

Because our farm integrates livestock and vegetable production our interns gain a basic amount of experience with all of our operations though interns will often focus mainly on livestock of vegetables.

You do not have to require an internship for your degree or be a part of WSU's Organic Agriculture program to apply!

For Insurance Purposes, you are REQUIRED to be a Currently Enrolled student during the semester you will be an Intern with us.  You may be at WSU or UI.

No experience required: just a willingness to learn!

We are happy to discuss setting up a more customized internship that fits where we are in the year and the specifics that you are interested in.  If you're looking for an internship for the coming season, get in touch with us now!  We love to share what we've learned with others and an internship is a great way to really get to know the field (haha...) you'll be working in someday!
